About Us

Poushang Construction Company (PCC) was established in 2006 and registered with the Government of Afghanistan in 2009.

The company delivers the best value in building services by placing construction Professionals on every project undertaken. Additionally, PCC is consistently trying to utilize more values to the owner of the project based on quality implementation, proper scheduling and on time completion as directed by personnel in the central office and regional offices. PCC’s first priority is delivering the client with the highest quality and in a timely manner. With our main office in Kabul and regional offices in other provinces, PCC is one of National competitive capacity owned company offering: construction, Medium, and High Voltage Power lines installations, reconstruction management and design/building, and architecture services and rehabilitation through Water Supply Schemes.

PCC has a proper reporting system and is able to prepare quality control and financial report, narrative, and monitoring report in addition to monthly activity/project progress report.

PCC has a closed link with a lot of organizations/companies as a network of several partners based on the past operational groups, engaged in construction activities since 2006. Poushang Construction company has been working with USACE in Afghanistan, in addition to devoting itself to the motto of building stronger, PCC is committed to remaining a successful partner of US Army Corps of Engineers.

The leadership of the PCC recognizes Afghanistan’s value as a hub joining various regions of energy and economy in Asia. Services

• DESIGN AND PLANNING
  PCC’s design and planning experts work closely with clients to transform project plans into well-designed, fully functional buildings and complexes. Proper design and planning simplify connection to existing utilities, reduce maintenance costs, and allow for potential future expansion.
  
  The planning process begins with a thorough evaluation of the site and its surroundings, including all relevant environmental, economic, and social factors.
  
  PCC then designs vertical and horizontal structures that maximize usable space, promote energy efficiency, and provide ease of access and site security.
  
  PCC’s design and planning staff maintain close contacts with clients throughout project execution to accommodate requests for design modifications and to resolve issues that may emerge during the execution phase.

• CONSTRUCTION
  In Afghanistan, Poushang Construction Company has built new facilities and has renovated and updated existing structures for a variety of private sector and civilian agencies, including governmental and private offices, residential and commercial complexes, schools, water wells and towers.

• SURVEYING
  Poushang Construction Company has its own experienced surveyor teams with advanced degrees. PCC conducts a variety of surveys using all digital state-of-the-art surveying equipment, such as Leica Total StationsTM and other advanced technologies that offer the greatest precision and accuracy available today.
  
  In a post-conflict nation like Afghanistan, PCC’s boundary surveys contribute to its development and stabilization. Recognizing this, PCC always reaches out to locals where projects are located, and always hires local labor and rents local equipment. PCC has also helped surrounding communities with improved access roads, irrigation ditches, and small bridges—usually completed without additional cost.

• OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE
  Poushang Construction Company provides Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services through our Construction division. PCC’s O&M services constitute routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance of facility systems and equipment.
  
  PCC prepares detailed warranty management plans at project closeout that allow maintenance and repair personnel to keep machinery and systems operating according to the original performance specifications. Our O&M experts are trained to operate mechanical and electrical building systems and equipment, and use proprietary software to manage assets, control inventory, order spare parts, and schedule routine maintenance checks.

• FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
  Poushang Construction Company has developed superior capabilities within its own Afghan staff in comprehensive program management, including financial accounting and control systems, both corporate and project-based. In addition to training and on-the-job capacity building efforts in Afghanistan, PCC staff is adept in assuring compliance with all U.S. Government and other donor requirements for contract administration and financial accounting in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other regulations.
  Based on the systems PCC has put in place for its own operations and projects, PCC professionals, on a contractual basis, can provide a platform for project management for other organizations and funders engaged in Afghanistan, including turn-key financial control services, contract administration, funds disbursement and grants management. PCC’s Capacity Building Division can also provide training to Afghan and other nationals working for local and international organizations on discrete projects, facilities, and for donor representative offices in Afghanistan.
  

• UNEXPLODED ORDNANCE (UXO)
  Detecting and removing unexploded ordnance (UXO) is a critical prerequisite to safe construction in Afghanistan and other post-conflict countries.
  Poushang Construction Company uses highly qualified UXO removal experts and subcontractors approved by UN Maaka who possess the latest geophysical tools and industry best practices to demarcate search areas, test to the desired depth, sift soils, and remove explosive materials for safe disposal.
  

• SECURITY & RISK MANAGEMENT
  Poushang Construction Company furnishes security by the help of Afghan Public Protection Force (APPF).
  PCC’s Risk Management Services (RMS) Team assesses a site’s force protection needs based on condition levels, and assigns corresponding codes for uniforms, weapons, and vehicle movement, which we communicate to the site population. The team also coordinates personnel—both on other project site and at our Kabul Headquarters—to procure vehicles, personnel protective equipment (PPE), and secure communications. In addition, each team vets and hires additional security personnel, secures sites and structures, provides training, visits partners and clients, and oversees demobilization.
  PCC’s security teams coordinate closely with the Afghan National Army, local and national police, and international security forces in all areas of Afghanistan, while also affording PCC the capability to provide 24/7 year-round force protection.
